Liam, Mom, and Grandma had the chance to escape the rainy Oregon weather and head south to Palm Desert this past week! We were blessed with clear blue skies and mid 70's temps the entire time! We went to the Living Desert (zoo animals), shopped on El Paseo, and enjoyed afternoons by the pool at Ironwoood country club. Liam was petrified of all things outdoors before the trip started (keep in mind he has no reccolection of grass, flowers, sand, because he was only 7 mo. old when he last played outside!), but was a confident outdoorsman by the end of the trip. He is still not sure about flowers, but the grass is no biggie now :)
Liam is changing so quickly! He is running now, and loves to pretend to be an adult. He loves to stick keys in doors to pretend to unlock them, puts cell phones up to his ear and says "hi-ya", and put bits of trash in the garbage for mom. He has learned how to say "no," and is using many more sylables with his jibber jabber these days. Patrick and I love to watch his little personality unfold each day more and more. We are also beginning to see his likes and dislikes and determination at work ;)
