Christmas Tree Hunt 08

We were excited this year to be able to get a much taller tree than prior years because our new house has a two story family room. We found out after much searching that the taller the tree, the more imperfections. After about 30 minutes we found the perfect tree! Liam was very concerned about Papa cutting the tree down. He kept saying "oh no, oh no!" A hot cocoa at the Rock Cliff Inn after the hunt changed his tune though....
Polar Express (Mt Hood Railroad)
The Lemms, Stalicks, and Humphreys made the drive out to Hood River to board the Polar Express! The trip took us to the North Pole to visit Santa. The kids had so much fun riding the train in their striped jammies, drinking hot cocoa, eating cookies, and singing carols on the train ride. Half way thru the ride, the train stopped to pick up Santa at the North Pole, before turning around for Oregon ;) Each of the kids were allowed the opportunity to sit on Santa's lap (or not) and tell him what they wanted for Christmas. Not a taker in the entire bunch. Figures...

Halloween
Liam had so much fun trick-or-treating this year. Many days before Halloween, Patrick and I would explain to Liam the process of knocking on neighbor's doors and asking for candy. I'm not sure he really understood, until his first door of the night. After he left the first house and looked into his tote to find a full bag of peanut M & M's, he was hooked! We had one minor meltdown when he wanted to sit in someone's driveway and eat the candy, but other than that he was so proud of his loot! He and his buddies looked so adorable that night. Here are a few of their pictures, enjoy!
Pumpkin Patch 08

Liam had such a great time picking out his pumpkins this year! Lee farms had a petting zoo, hay ride, swing ride, and even a little zipper (which even I wouldnt go on). Patrick and I were so surprised that Liam loved the swing ride, and even though he was quite obviously the youngest rider, he was laughing the entire time! The slide was a favorite for both Patrick and Liam, and I think most of our tickets were spent there :) As Liam gets older, it's so much fun to see him begin to understand the different holidays and traditions our little family is creating. Here are a few of the hilights from the patch!

Pacific City with Grandpa
Concerts in the Park, Childrens Museum
This summer has been so much fun with Liam. There have been lots of great places to take Liam that he had never been before, or was too little to really take it all in. We've been regulars at the Tualatin Commons concerts, and look forward to more of the Westlake concerts in LO this month. The Children's Museum was a blast, and I think Dad was pooped after an entire day of chasing Liam thru the exhibits.
